A Bond Fund option for the Brethren Pension Plan is now available. Current investment managers will administer this fourth investment fund using our socially responsible investment guidelines.

The new Bond Fund offers members an added choice for their investment mix. Individuals who are approaching retirement may not want to be exposed to the volatility of the Common Stock Fund nor willing to settle for the lower return of the Short-Term Fund. The new Bond Fund offers less volatility than the Common Stock option and offers a higher earning potential than the money market rates of the Short-Term Fund.

Before this, bond investments were available only through an allocation to the Balanced Fund.
